I was wondering if there is a way to compute the discriminant of a
rank r quadratic form in maple?
Alternatively, is there a way to diagonalize, via symmetric row and
col operations, a symmetric matrix A over Z_p? For instance, modifying

Why is my single quote not the one that maple expects? Can I change that?

Dear all,
I have 2 equations:
Kcl_i := I_S - G_S*V_i - s*C_i*V_i - G_C*(V_i-V_c) = 0 :
Kcl_c := G_C*(V_i-V_c) = s*C_C*V_c :
Out of these equations V_c must be eliminated.
The result is one equation with as variables V_i and I_S.
I need the ratio of them: V_i/I_S.
How do I do this?

That works as expected on our systems...
You could try toggling interface(ansi) from true to false or vice
versa.
Does that help? Fedora is not a supported distribution, however.

You're not supposed to run $MAPLE/bin.XXXX/cmaple directly.
The commandline interface is supposed to be run via the shell script
$MAPLE/bin/maple which you should be invoking instead.
That `maple` script sets up an LD_LIBRARY_PATH, etc, so that shared
libs get found by the executable cmaple binary.

When a worksheet is exported to latex and compiled plots are inserted
using the \mapleplot command. The resulting plots are left aligned.
How can I get the plots centered. The naive approach:
\centering\mapleplot{....}
doesn't work (I didn't think it would).
